    Abstract:
      Statewide dataset containing the location of state, local and selected private roads and
      their associated attributes, including road names.  For attribute data dictionary, see
      the file Roads_DOT_Code_Descriptions.doc.
    Purpose:
      The data may be used to map the statewide road network, and/or to query for physical and
      administrative features of individual road segments.

        DLG-3 datafiles were imported into McDonald Douglas GDS system, projected to
        NH State Plane NAD27 coordinates and used as a spatial reference to generate
        original base map layers with NHDOT identifiers.  Data was subsequently projected
        to NH State Plane NAD83 and migrated to ESRI platform.  Attribute data was added
        from existing road inventory tables.
