Description:

Abstract:

Provides bathymetric depth contours in feet for New Hampshire lakes surveyed by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services since 2000 and New Hampshire Fish and Game.

Purpose:

This dataset was created to calculate lake volume for lake trophic classification and to provide lake stakeholders with a bathymetric map. USE THIS DATA AT YOUR OWN RISK

Development of these databases is an ongoing project; they may not contain all existing and potential sites, stations, or threats. NHDES is not responsible for the use or interpretation of this information, or for any inaccuracies in the site names, tax map and lot information, or locations. All information is subject to verification. These data are to be used for planning purposes only; distribution is discouraged.

The points were plotted over USGS topographic quads and reviewed for positional accuracy as well as thoroughness of coverage for the water body being mapped.
