Description:
Object-based image analysis (OBIA) methods are being used to update the 23-class New Hampshire Land Cover Assessment for the southwestern portion of the state. In addition, classes of forest change (which were introduced in the 2012 forest change assessment in northern New Hampshire) will be included. The classification will be derived from 2014 Landsat 8 OLI data in conjunction with other, historical Landsat TM and ETM+ data. The area covered ranges from the Connecticut River in the west to Manchester in the east, and the Plymouth area in the north to the Massachusetts border in the south.
